New customers:
How do I apply for a property?
By filling in one of our application forms which can be done at any of our offices or by a requesting a form on-line or if you are on a local authority waiting list where the local authority have nomination rights by asking the local authority to nominate you to us. You can also request a form by telephoning the Contact Centre.
Can I get help to fill in the application form?
Yes, either by calling in to one of our offices or our Area staff can also give advice over the telephone
What information do I need to provide to apply for a home?
Proof of your current address. Evidence of pregnancy if applicable, proof of end of your current tenancy
Is there a list of all available properties in my area?
Yes there is a list of where we have properties and what types they are , but, as empty properties come and go the most up to date information is available from your local office.
How long can I expect to be on the waiting list as a new customer?
This really depends on type of property and location, but, as a yardstick we normally wouldn't take an application for a property where we couldn't expect vacancies within the next 6 months.
Can I apply for housing in another city?
Yes as long as we have properties there
Are your new tenants vetted?
We have information sharing protocols with the police and local authorities which enables us to ascertain as to whether applicants are suitable to live in our properties.
